ARSENAL IN THE NEXT CENTURY.
 
Three league runners up medals consecutively and in 2000 Arsenal were in the UEFA Cup final only to lose on penalties.

2001 saw the club in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League but to be knocked out by Valencia.

In 2001/02 the Gunners made an incredible third double by beating Chelsea in the FA Cup and finishing the league with and incredible unbeaten thirteen game run and a fantastic win over Manchester United by 1 - 0 - Arsenal were unbeaten at home for the whole season.

The next season Arsenal became the first club to retain the FA Cup in over 20 years by beating Southampton 1 - 0

2003/04 Arsenal win back the title, not a single defeat throughout the season and the thirteenth league title.

August 2004 Arsenal overtake Nottingham Forest record of longest all time unbeaten sequence in english league football.

The Gunners make it five trophies in four seasons by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final on penalties.

2005/06 was the last season the club palys at Highbury which was the clubs home for 93 years. Fourth place in the league and champions league football was secured on the last day of the season with a win over Wigan Athletic.

2005/06 saw Arsenal in the Champions League Final in Paris, unfortunately Arenal went home runners up.

July 2006 saw the club move from it's Highbury home to the new Emirates Stadium. Ajax were the first opponants at the Emirates Stadium.
